And the winner is... 17 February 2012
With lots of heartwarming “Pulling Heartstrings” stories to choose from, the Pistil Team had a tough job ahead. In the end, there was one submission in particular that really captured the meaning of this contest. Congratulations to Chris from Toronto for pulling our heartstrings.
Ultimately, this contest was about love. We set on a mission asking our readers to celebrate love through words. We posed the question “who in your life deserves a Love Bomb and why?” We received tonnes of love stories nominating Moms, sisters, husbands, wives, friends and even a few who nominated themselves. After much review, we chose this one as the winning story:
Recently, my family had faced its greatest test when I was involved in a serious accident. While many thought the worst, my wife showed me the meaning of true love when she was there by my side through every step of this challenging journey. Simply, her smile and kind loving words provided the inspiration that I needed to defy the odds and stay on course towards recovery. Our lives have been forever changed from this incident but I feel for the better because my wife has shown me that together we can conquer whatever comes our way. She had always pulled my heart strings from the moment we met but as time passes, she has my heart in its entirety.
As winner of our “Pulling Heartstrings” contest, Chris received our signature Love Bomb delivered to his wife on Valentine’s Day.
