Carnation Comeback! 17 February 2010
It doesn`t seem like so long ago that Charlotte dumped a man for giving her a bouquet of carnations on a first date on Sex and the City. "They`re a filler flower" she exclaimed in the now famous episode. Carrie too had a difficult time accepeting her pink carnations - a gift from Berger - despite his explanation that carnations are making "a comeback".
A few short years later, the lowly carnation is experiencing a resurgence in popularity. You heard it here first people: The carnation is BACK. Frugal floweristas everywhere are finally appreciating the fantastic longevity of this unique little flower, and when put together correctly, it is` incredibly stylish indeed.
No longer is the much maligned carnation the domain of your grandma and old-fashioned people everywhere. We are loving the vibrant colours, the delicate ruffle of the petals, and the versatility this strong little flower provides, not to mention the very afforable prices. After all, how can one argue with these fantastic arrangements produced by our team here at Pistil?
